I know some of you have been sitting on the fence about Google Goggles. That’s ok, $97 is a considerable investment and it’s only fair that you need to make sure you’re getting value for your money.

The subject of this e-mail is actually an upcoming price increase on Monday, September 8, from $97 to $147 - that’s 50% more. The monthly recurring fees will almost increase from $13.95 to $17.95 per month — that’s almost 50% increase if you try our tool after Monday.

(Go here to order now at the old price…)

Still, even at the current lower price, unless you know that Google Goggles is going to make you back $100 or $150, how are you going to make a decision?

Why would you make the exact same decision that hundreds upon hundreds of Google Goggles users have already made and signed up? Maybe all these other customers made a horrible mistake?

Fair questions. In this message I will try and give you some reasons why ordering Google Goggles before the price increase is a sensible decision:

Reason #1: Google Goggles is like having either me, or Larry, sit next to you when you’re experimenting with your Adword campaigns… and our consulting time is worth $500 an hour and up

With the Google Goggles bundle, you get the condensed knowledge of millions of dollars re-invested on Adwords… our own dollars, mind you… dollars that would hurt us directly if we didn’t pay extreme attention to what we’re doing.

We lost tens of thousands of dollars, trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. With Goggle Goggles on your computer for a measly $97, you don’t have to pay these dues.

We made millions of dollars whenever we discovered a breakthrough technique, and every single one of these techniques is implemented in the Google Goggles algorithm to help you refine the Adwords quality score.

(The potential to make your own millions for just $97 if you order before Monday? Sounds like a good deal to me… even if you miss the Monday deadline and end up paying $50 more.)

See, it’s easy to find a hot-shot pay-per-click consultant in the yellow pages or on Google itself these days. The field is hot. Set-up fees hover around $5,000 to have an Internet marketer even look at your campaign.

And those guys don’t mess around, either: In order to keep a PPC consultant interested, you’ll have to spend at least that much again on Adwords clicks every single month. Anything less, and you’ll have a hard time finding one that even wants to talk to you.

On the upside, with Google Goggles for $97, you have a tool that hardly any of these pro consultants have…

…in fact, the PDF output feature allows you to be the “pay-per-click doctor” to any Web site that you already see advertised on Google.

On that note: Have you thought of becoming a PPC consultant yourself? With Google Goggles, it’s easy to remote-analyze the Adwords campaigns of any local business and spot the ones that are in trouble.

Why not give them a call with a diagnosis of what’s wrong with their Adwords traffic funnel, and how you would fix it?

If being a consultant is more “your thing” than selling your own stuff on the Web, Google Goggles is basically a $97 business-in-a-box starter kit for your own consulting career…

How cool is that?

Reason #2: Hundreds of users are seeing RESULTS for their $97 investment

Here are some random posts from our support forum… I’ll let our users speak for themselves…

Hey guys

GG is working great for me, I'm getting bids as low as 5
cents now and this from an account with a poor history
so thanks for the great tool. [...]

Hey guys!

I’m loving this tool. When I put my info in the first time,
my goggles showed a lot less green bars then you see now.
Before using this tool, I didn’t even know what a sitemap
was, now I’ve got one! [...]

>>This tool at first view, really seems to cut to the chase
in identifying problems and helping figure out what the more
and least important problems are...I think I am going to like
this....<<

Yeah me too, great quality scores right off the bat and 2 days
in still the same! So far so good!

Can all these people be wrong? Of course they could. But how likely is it? You decide.

Reason #3: HexaTrack “Goggles Edition” and NicheGoggles are included

Admittedly, we didn’t make that big of a deal out of it, but for $97, you get a complete system for dominating any Adwords niche… not just a tool to analyze your ad copy and landing page.

Even at Monday’s price of $147, that is a huge deal… here’s why:

Before you even consider entering a niche, run it through NicheGoggles. It’s the companion tool to Google Goggles that tells you if a niche is likely to turn a profit or not. Simply enter the main keyword and Niche Goggles will tell analyze competition, demand, traffic costs, and an overall profitability score.

Then enter HexaTrack and analyze your chosen market thoroughly. Brainstorm related keywords that you would have never thought of on your own. Monitor the ads that your competitors are running. Are they making money? If so, copy their approach. Are their ads disappearing quickly? Their approach is bad, which could be an opportunity for you.

Then run your proposed ad, keywords, and landing page through Google Goggles until you get the highest possible quality score at reasonable click-through rates. As you saw above, some of our users get 5-cent clicks right off the bat!

Finally, use HexaTrack’s keyword tracking feature to filter out only the most profitable keywords from your campaign… and drop all the stinkers. You’ll find that the keywords that lead to actual sales are often very different from the ones you thoughtwould make you money.

Now I’m not here to make a case that you get a lot of “stuff” for your $97 (or $147 after Monday)… (even though it is quite a bit of “stuff” that you’ll be taking home.)

The point here is, you get a complete suite of tools… a closed-loop Adwords management system of the caliber that fortune 500 companies don’t even have at their disposal (and we know companies that spend $50K+ a day on Adwords without any kind of automated success tracking! Insanity!)

So here is our proposal: $97 this weekend ($13.95/mo thereafter)… or $147 from Monday on ($17.95/mo therafter)

(Go here to order now at the old price…)

In ight of the components you get with the Google Goggles bundle, even the $50 price hike is not much. For us, it’s really just a way to cover our server fees and ongoing support.

Don’t worry, we’re NOT laughing all the way to the bank with your $14 (before Monday) or $17.95 a month (after Monday).

After the initial launch, we figured out the hard way that there was no way to sustain the low price point of $97 / $13.95 a month.

People need help out there, and Larry and I can’t be the only ones giving it. We’ve already went ahead and hired extra support staff.

Our servers are slammed with requests (Google Goggles processes each query through our server to protect your IP from Google and get consistent results).

Our bandwidth fees reflect that, and we had to find a way to recoup this money. Our initial miscalculation is your gain, if you decide to join the hundreds of other users before Monday.

So if you’re reading this before Monday September 8, you’re in good shape still. Google Goggles is just $97 and $13.95 until Monday (the monthly rate is locked-in forever if you join us before that date).

That’s our proposal. It’s up to you now. The package is a fantastic deal at either price, $97 or $147. If you read this before Monday, you can save the $50 right now, and get a lower recurring monthly rate. We expect hundreds to do so this weekend. I hope you’re one of them. Go here to sign up… see you on the other side1

~Amish

P.S. Needless to say, you have a 60-day money-back guarantee. Even with the reasons #1, #2, and #3 I stated above, you don’t even risk the initial $97 (or $147 after Monday).

Our refund guarantee is backed by ClickBank, the largest marketplace for downloadable goods on the Internet. If you don’t like the Google Goggles bundle, they will cheerfully refund your money; you won’t even have to talk to us.

Go here now to order at the old price…

P.P.S. We frequently get asked “once I have the software, why do I need to pay the recurring monthly fee? Why not just buy the software at $97 and then cancel?”

Google Goggles is a subscription-based software… a so-called “desktop widget” that runs equally well on Windows PCs and Macs.

It does all of its magic through our servers, protecting your private IP and Adwords account from Google’s detection as you’re spying on your competitors.

The server-based approach also allows us to optimize our quality score algorithm on the fly, so that the results are always as spot-on as possible.

Once you stop paying the nominal monthly subscription fee, you have effectively canceled your GoogleGoggles and HexaTrack accounts and will no longer be able to use either software.

So the subscription fee isn’t an unnecessary luxury. The opposite: It’s your ongoing usage fee that helps us cover our cost.

As you know, we’re raising the subscription fee from $13.95 to $17.95 for customers who order before Monday September 8. That means, if you order this weekend, you can “lock in” that low rate. You’ll pay $13.95 a month forever, if you stay on board.

At the same time, we can’t guarantee that the subscription increase to $17.95 will be the last one. We may find that $17.95 a month is still too little to support our installed user base.

We therefore strongly recommend to not let your subscription lapse, as this could potentially mean a much larger monthly price increase down the road for you!

Go here now to order at the old price structure… $97 once and locked-in at $13.95/month

Okay quick update from Google Goggles headquarters… things have been a little crazy here, so I’ll keep this brief.

Three things:

First independent Goggles reviews are in

Frequently asked questions answered

Goggles price increase on Monday

Let’s start with the “bad news” first…

Yes, we have no choice but to INCREASE the price for Google Goggles on Sunday, (sept. 7) night 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

Hundreds of Google Goggles users have been hitting our system hard

They’re goggling Adwords campaigns 24/7, slapping Google back at every opportunity…

Well, I’d rather sell a few Goggles less, than risk our servers crashing (we learned from a bad server crash with HexaTrack a few months ago).

Prices until (and including) Sunday September 7, 2008:

$97 to install, $13.95/month recurring

New prices as of Monday September 8, 2008:

$147 to install, $17.95/month recurring

So if you order before Sept. 7, you’ll lock in the old recurring pricing (never more than $13.95 a month).

If you order after Sept. 7, the tool will still be inexpensive, but hopefully it will slow our growth enough so our server guys can keep adding capacity.

Order Google Goggles here before the price goes up

Still $97 once, $13.95 recurring, if ordered before midnight September 7. (New $147/$17.95 pricing applies form September 8 on.)

FAQ: Why do we charge a recurring fee at all?

Despite its appearance as a desktop widget, Google Goggles is really a server-based application.

It does its Quality Score calculation not from your desktop, but from our servers which are distributed all over.

This has two advantages:

Your own identity is protected from Google. Your home or office IP address is *NOT* exposed to Google or the Web sites you’re testing.

As soon as Google updates its own secret Quality Score algorithm, our head developers Matt and Jeffery will know about it and update the algorithm on our servers as well.

You will NOT need to update your desktop software! It is all done for you automatically. That’s the real reason for the recurring subscription fee.

Order Google Goggles here before the price goes up

FAQ: Will it work on a Mac? On a PC?

Yes! Google Goggles will run both on Mac and PC. It is a “desktop widget” built on the Adobe Air platform. It is cross-platform from the start.

FAQ: What happens if Google changes its “slap” rules?

We constantly monitor Google Goggles’ accuracy. As soon as Google changes its Quality Score algorithm, we’ll put in another round of “reverse engineering” for you.

A few days after any new Google Slap (and there have been many), Google Goggles will automatically wisen up to the new rules set by Adwords.

These updates are really what you’re getting for your $13.95 recurring fee.
($17.95 if you order Monday September 8, or later.)

Order Google Goggles here before the price goes up

FAQ:Will it predict quality score perfectly?

I want to come right out and say that Google Goggles is a decision-making tool for the Adwords professional. It is not a scientific excercise for being 100% accurate.

There are some factors in the Adwords Quality Score calculation that Google Goggles cannot possibly know such as account history, max CPC stops, campaign structure (close to one keyword per Adgroup), and campaign budget. (but we plan on adding this!)

However, as an advertiser, you need to focus on the factors that are variable, not on the ones that are static.

You need to address the factors that you can change and not the factors that you can’t influence.

The keywords in your Adgroups should be tightly focused, no matter what. Ideally, you should run a separate ad for every single keyword. That’s a lot of copying and pasting but it’s not anything that Google Goggles can help you with.

Unfortunately, account history, domain history, max CPC cost stops, and daily or overall campaign budget are not factors that you can just “choose” as you please.

Most advertisers operate under real-world budget restrictions. The account history “is what it is”. These are factors that cannot normally be changed at will.

However, Goggles can help you repair an Adwords account that you have unintentionally ruined with a few badly-focused campaigns (yes, Google will remember your past “bad quality score blunders” and will “punish” you for the “bad user experience” you have been delivering in the past, with higher overall bid prices until you learn).

If the domain of your landing page has gone bad, and you get slapped despite good Goggles scores, you might want to consider getting a new domain. Again, a factor that is relatively static, and not really in the decision making space that we’re trying to help with.

Order Google Goggles here before the price goes up

I’ve seen so many sites that have massive adword potential squander their possibilities due to non-optimal structuring and word usage.

by: Amish

Look, we just developed this silly little tool for ourselves… and now we can hardly keep it from spreading on the Internet! (In fact, we had to add a password protection system to keep it halfway contained among our beta test users!)

Remember the days of quick and easy Google cash? Good times. Oh how I miss them.

You used to be able to put up a halfway-decent Adwords ad, link it directly to your affiliate landing page, et voila, you’d make automatic sales 24/7 and turn a profit! If you were able to copy and paste links from ClickBank, you were in business!

But then, as early as 2006, things turned horribly wrong… for us, and 80% of all other Google advertisers! We, and thousands like us, woke up to $1, $5, or $10 minimum bids for our campaigns!

That was Google’s passive-aggressive way of saying, “Pal, with those lame ads, pointing to those lame landing pages, we don’t want your business.”

But what if there was a way to turn back the time, and jump right back into the Google cash game, as if nothing had happened? What if there was a surefire way to not get slapped again ever? What if you could go ahead and put up Adwords campaign after Adwords campaign… while being absolutely sure that your campaigns will turn a profit right out of the gate?

Yes, it can be pre-2006 all over again! We know. We’re living in that reality every day.

Here;s what happened: This spring, our absolutely evil “minister of propaganda” Jörg came up with this crazy idea… (and frankly, I wasn’t even that much into it at first)…

Why not develop a tool for Adwords Advertisers and Search Engine Optimizers that determines the Google Quality Score (QS) of a landing page upfront…

before spending a dime on Adwords clicks…

and before wasting a minute on building backlinks and all the other dreadful work that goes into SEO!

What if there was a way to put on magic goggles that let you see Google’s view of your PPC ad, your keywords, and your landing page??

If you had Google Goggles to put on before you start a new campaign, wouldn’t it give you superpowers in the pay-per-click game… powers that nobody else has, especially not your competitors?

You could take Google’s “slap factor” –the dreaded quality score– right back out of the equation like it’s early 2006 again! (And make cash just like anyone used to!)

As I said, at first I dismissed the idea. But it couldn’t get out of my head. I even started dreaming about it! (No joke!)

Well, our master genius coders Matt and Jeffery ran with the idea — unbeknownst to Larry and me, mind you! One day Matt just showed up at our new beachfront office in La Jolla and demo’d a tool that looked exactly like, well, Google Goggles!

Not only does it allow you to know in advance if your campaign will be a stinker, or a goose that lays golden eggs…

…it even makes specific suggestions as to what to tweak, in case it determines that your campaign won’t fare as well as you had hoped to, so you can, in actuality, still make it profitable right there and then!

For a first view on what it does and how to use it, check it out here (but there’s a lot more included than I had time to share tonight so stay tuned for updates at this blog!)

In the years prior, we spent something close to $5 million USD on our own, personal pay-per-click campaigns with Google. Ever notice how investing your own money on business gambits increases your intelligence? It makes you think before you spend. So it’s somewhat natural that Larry and I intuitively knew the Google Adwords Quality Score algorithm… inside out!

Knowing what works and what doesn’t in the Adwords game became our second nature. As I said, not because we’re hot shit… out of sheer necessity! It’s like of those things like “riding a bicicle” that you just get a “feel” for, after a while. A psychologist once told me this is called “intuitive competence” or something like that.

Yet, our close PPC friends, as well as thousands of users over at our flagship project www.HexaTrack.com needed access to the knowledge we had locked inside our head. (Sorry HexaTrack isn’t currently accepting new users, but you may enter into a waiting list.)

Since 2006, one Google Slap chased another. Just a couple of weeks ago, July 26, 2008 we had the last one. Our friends were bugging out. We had to find a way to make that “intuitive competence” in our brains available to them - fast!

So I set out and put my insider knowledge of the Adwords Quality Score Algorithm on paper. To our knowledge, it’s the first time that anyone has reverse-engineered and released Google’s secret QS formula.

(Again, not trying to brag here–I’m seriously wondering why nobody else has thought of divulging this information before? It could make the difference between making millions in PPC, and giving up, slapped and frustrated, like many of you have been writing me!)

Well, technically we haven’t released this secret tool yet. Only a handful of our close friends and customers have a beta test version of Google Goggles… and they are bound by ironclad non-disclosure agreements and a tight password-protection system.

Trust me, as an Adwords advertiser, you don’t want this tool to get into the wrong hands anyway! In fact, initially we had firm plans to sell Google Goggles as part of a $1,000+ package, to keep it inside our exclusive club of “heavy-hitter” Internt marketing friends (if you look closely, you can still spot the name of that $1,000+ package in the video above!)

We priced ir so high to keep this tool limited to real players in the market… people that quietly make millions online… whose names you do not know… guys and gals who do not puff themselves up as gurus, because that’s usually a distraction from their own money-making activities.

But if $1,000+ is out of your reach right now, don’t despair. In frantic meetings between all five of us, I think we found a way to help you out, even if you can’t spring that kind of money at the moment. After all, the whole point of Google Goggles is to test your Adwords campaigns before you spend a bunch on overpriced clicks.

So the Google Goggles story is just beginning… look out for the next installment of the tale tomorrow, or the day after, when I’ve caught up on some sleep. I think you’ll like the way this is going, and what we came up with to help you out…

Good nite…

~Amish

I told Frank this would happen!

But as brilliant as he is at mass control — he’s always kind of avoided pay-per-click. (And he’ll admit as much.)

Here’s what happened: I designed the Mass Control Giveaway landing page to his specifications. He promised me $25,000 for the job. He wanted it done a certain way, and he wouldn’t listen to any good advice.

He wanted it to look “cool”. All “San Diego surfer dude” and stuff.

I said that’s fine. You can have both… a landing page that’s cool and Adwords-optimized at the same time:

Just one run of Google Goggles over the page would have told him what’s wrong with the current site (which you can still see at www.masscontrolgiveaway.com)

But he just didn’t see the importance. Granted, most of his affiliates promoted by e-mail. And he sold out within minutes, so who am I to give him advice?

It irked me a bit though… the fact that I had co-developed Google Goggles didn’t seem to impress him. “What’s Google Goggles?”

The fact that I worked with Larry & Amish for years, experimenting with millions of Adwords dollars, went right over his head.

I don’t think he meant to dismiss my advice or act ignorant. Pay-per-click just hasn’t been a focus in his current business. Most of his affiliates have e-mail lists!

I think he just doesn’t know the power of making your landing page “Adwords approved.” He basically bribed me with $25,000 to build just build his site and shut up.

But my soul is not for sale, Frank!

I’ll keep nagging you, till you “get” pay-per-click. Maybe you can learn a trick from me for once.

So Frank, this video is for you:

Frank Kern, press Play above to find out why the site (that I designed!) sucks so bad… and what Google Goggles suggests you do about it!

There you have it Frank… use Google Goggles next time!

Hint for Frank: It’s on sale this Friday, 8/22/08 at 3 pm Eastern / 12 noon Pacific, right here at http://www.putonyourgoggles.com

(Fine buddy, I might hook you up with a copy… if you promise to listen next time!)

by: Matt
